They don't want you delete your account for several reasons. 1 - to boost apparent user numbers. 2 - to keep your usage data, which is worth $$$. 3 - because they consider you a bacteria to do with as they wish. You got suckered in, and you're not leaving. Remember to hit their support address with a diplomatically worded email containign the term "class action lawsuit" and "infringement of privacy". That may get their attention. Report back here if you actually get your account deleted. And lastly, blacklist the damn site, and rate it on WOT as untrustworthy in regards to privacy.
